Cooperative of family farms increases the production of yogurt inspected

The 80 % growth in monthly production of yogurt dairy industry over the past three years has been the result of technical guidance provided by the Agency of Agriculture Defense of Bahia ( Adab ) , linked to the state Department of Agriculture , Cooperative for Agricultural Production Jiló ( Coopag ) , rural New Lowland , Ontario . The increase from 20 to 100,000 liters of yogurt manufactured per month provided the supply of dairy products inspected and good quality they arrive at the table of the population , generating jobs , income and development for the region .

The president of Coopag , Ronaldo Carneiro , and business manager , Fred Jordan , recently sought Adab to thank the guidelines that were provided on July 27, 2011 . " After 10 years with the doors closed for irregularities , the Agency began to work differently withdraw from the underground producers and adequacy of dairy with instructions that involve the entire production chain , from the production , transportation , processing , to storage and distribution. Since then the poor region celebrates steady growth , "said the coordinator of the Special Operations Adab , Adilson Pinheiro , while citing the importance of inspection activity in the process of production of milk and dairy industries .

The business manager , Fred Jordan , explained that for such growth was also necessary to strengthen the dialogue with the cooperative to qualify milk production , arising from smallholder family farming . " The Coopag had the support of Adab in raising the awareness of employees regarding hygienic and sanitary and requirements of small farmers to improve the quality of the raw material . The team is co - Adab responsible for the success of the cooperative , "said Jordan . The manager continued to report that today all the processed milk comes from the family farm and was the chosen path to get to produce quality inspected and yogurt , in addition to removing the producers of hiding .

To the Director of Inspection of Agricultural Products Adab , Adriano Bouzas , the operation of the dairy is a strong tool for social inclusion , employment generation and income , as well as boost the regional market , contributing to the growth of the agricultural sector in the region which is very lacking . " The expectation is that this year , the dairy pass to diversify production , becoming also make cheese and butter , and provide inspected for school meals to more than 35 thousand students of municipal school food . " Added Bouzas .

The director general of Adab , Paulo Emilio Torres , concluded by saying that the current commitment of the Agency to clarify , orient and make dairy products are able to work, respecting economic, technical , sanitary and environmental aspects .
